Feeling Felt: The Importance of Adoption Support Groups

My latest article was just published on GoodTherapy.org!

Feeling Felt: The Importance of Adoption Support Groups discusses the importance of coming together with others who are walking a similar path.  My colleague and I started AdoptCONNECT and Teen AdoptCONNECT to serve an unmet need in our community. AdoptCONNECT groups provide a place for the adoption and foster care community to come together and share stories, ideas, and concerns in a safe environment. Support groups are an essential place to express feelings, give and get support, build lasting connections, and ultimately “feel felt.” If you’d like to start a similar group in your community, contact me and I’ll help you do this!

As always, feel free to share anything you see here!
